I’ve cast my ballot to-day
For the candidate’s election
I think I’ll go home and pray

They made their speeches every day
The Party did their best to be ready, without traction.
I’ve cast my ballot to-day

The Party tempts them to the polls, with pay.
The people’s art of seduction
I think I’ll go home and pray

When the results come, we know what they’ll say
They drew a great turnout with suction
I’ve cast my ballot to-day

The Leader smiles, so happy and gay
Our friends, who disagree, sent for education
I think I’ll go home and pray

We’ve all come out to witness the decay
The Party says we’re here due to jubilation
I’ve cast my ballot to-day
I think I’ll go home and pray
