9. Many ancient cultures worshiped gods and goddesses of the sea. Nowadays, without devotees, they spend their days yachting in the Mediterranean.
Here lies my first entry for Wanderer's Depths. Just like in All Rights Reserved, there are two narrators. Both of them told a story before in the Library, and they'll tell more… Anyways, this entry has been fun to write! I wanted desperately to write about the Black Sea, because I've learned plenty about it in the years I lived on its coast. Also, it has a anoxic zone under 200 metres that preserves shipwrecks and ruins, that sea is amazing. Unluckily, I have not been able to find any specific deity related to it (like how the river Tiber has a minor deity, for example). Which led me to writing half of the story about trying to find who that character is.
My deepest gratitude to:
- Bard Bard, who made this theme for me
- Avelon21, who endured my horrible English tensing to make it right.
- ML, a dear friend who doesn't have an account here on Wanderer's Library and withstood my rambling and provided me support.
In terms of licensing and images,
- cartoonboat.jpg is mine—taken and edited by me
- the anchor in the header has a texture of a photo taken by me, and was edited into an anchor by Bard Bard
- the backdrop picture was taken by me as well
