This has all the strengths of the first chapter and is just as entertaining. Excellent. Also, this is one of my personal favorite takes on "sealed evil in a can".

vast, thin, coated with dripping gold armor
I love that it's not just a standard big dark thing with glowing red eyes, yet sounds just as horrifying
I also love the continuity with the first chapter, and the exploration of the theme of unforeseen consequences.
