This contest got me thinking. The premise of the contest rules was to promote crosslinking across the Library (in addition to provoking a flurry of new entries). I propose that it be allowed that people can post stories linked to other stories (as long as it makes sense). I also propose that active authors look through their work to see if any stories on the Library could work as work to link to.
Well, for me, there's obviously a lot of internal linking I could do (since pretty much all my stuff is interconnected in some way), but my stuff doesn't really reference other author's works, and I'm not exactly good at the sideways type of thinking required for other sorts of links.
If we had anchor tags on the Library Page, we could link directly to a book's full description. That would be more satisfying than linking to "book:such-and-such", or "tag/so-and-so" like we do now. The same could be done for the GOI page, allowing us to back link mentions of these groups.
