On 01/24/2021 unexplained pillars of light appeared simultaneously all over the world. At 12:10 a.m., EST, reports of the phenomenon showed up from over 10 countries, including the United States, Australia, Japan, Poland, Romania, South Africa, France, Cambodia and Uruguay. The pillars all appeared in secluded, rural areas (though close to big cities like Las Vegas or Tokyo), seemingly avoiding destroying property or harming anyone (which they were most certainly capable of — they left burnt out circles, 5 meters in diameter). In the "landing spots", people have noticed strange symbols, unlike any known human language (research into similar fictional alphabets is still ongoing).

Some people reported seeing "figures made of light" in the vicinity of the "alien landing spots" (a moniker coined by social media). Joe Kramer, 39, living on the outskirts of Las Vegas, told our reporters:

"I don't know what I saw, but I'm almost sure it was aliens! I was at my house, watching TV, when I saw this real bright, blinding flash of light outside. It was brighter than lightning, but, the weather was relatively clear. So I look outside, right, and I immediately have to turn around, so I don't go f***ing blind, you know. I then closed the blinds, got my camera, my sunglasses, and looked again, and I saw this… guy, made of light, like a weird, glowing figure, you know. And- and it goes right up to my front door and asks, 《Is this… Las Vegas?》 in this real weird accent. So I'm completely dumbfounded, but I nod, still in my sunglasses, yeah, it's Vegas alright."

Joe has provided us with a photo he allegedly took of the figure, presented below:

Is this another prank, possibly connected to the infamous Utah monolith? Or are the glowing figures real, and in that case, actual alien visitors? What do they want? Or could have people from all over the world gotten together in the quarantine boredom and pulled the most elaborate prank of the last decade?
