A Chair, a Drink, and a Music Box

Here, in this little alcove, tucked away amongst books about love and bugs and music and family, there is a large chair upholstered in violet.

Next to the chair sits a glass, perhaps one-third full, of an amber liquid, in which rest three unmelted ice cubes.

Adjacent to this glass is a small silver music box, etched around its sides with a motif of people holding hands.

You open the music box...

As the music box recalls its simple tune, figures dance and whirl in the air. You feel that you could reach out and touch each one and hear its story.
