Gotta echo the surreal feelings here. This feels almost abstract, despite the concepts being rather mundane: It's the clash they have, that oneiric vibe to the structure of the article that brings it together is just… Captivating. I don't think words do justice to the exact way this felt as I read it. Rounder says it well though: It's not much of a Place, but rather some sort of space between two Places. A perfect mirror of the function the plane serves, but both way more literal and way more metaphorical than it is.

Such an odd yet serene vivid image, the one this article creates. I really, really like it. +1

Echoing a lot of what Rounder said here, but this surreal pitstop between multiple locations vibe that this piece has, I really dig. It's not quite horror, but the sense of detachment from reality evokes the same sort of shivers down the spine, and I really enjoy that. Another well earned plus one for this team.

#4

This has this weird energy of when you're sitting in the airport for a layover but it's like 3am and its still dark outside and there are only a few other passengers in the terminal. The airport is a place designed to handle crowds, and before the dawn it feels surreal. This feels similarly surreal - this is good, very good. The wording is much more mind-bending than the previous ones and the imagery is wild (I know I've said this for all of them, but goddamn!). It doesn't feel like a Place in the way the others in the series have felt. It feels like a momentary stop between two Places, a layover.

I like this a lot, but I'm not really sure why.
