Anyway, intriguing stuff! I expected to get bogged down in the length of it (and did end up feeling like the pacing on the first offset's first half could be improved) but overall it flowed pretty well, especially the second offset. Part of that might have been because of the language — it is very flowery which translates to long, sometimes-meandering sentences that tend to blend into one another. But I digress. The story was super intriguing, which I liked a lot. It really did feel like I was a passenger in someone else's head, which I imagine was your intention. This is totally a wild guess, but I initially guessed that this was following a Magpie, though by the end that assumption evaporated — any truth there? Either way, very much enjoyed this thingy. And the abridged archivist shoutout!

Thanks for the comment Maxy. I've been enjoying writing Library-related stuff and admittedly this was one of my more esoteric ideas for the contest, so I completely understand how it could've been confusing - though I'm glad it worked for you overall.

Alright, I liked this one. I must admit this concept of 'self' confused me a bit on the first half of the story; since this is a mind-parasite of some sort, I wasn't sure what exactly was happening during the fight. That being said, I enjoyed it all regardless; especially the second half of the first offset, and the semi-monologue in the second. Really interesting stuff. Coupling this one with non-existence therapy, really enjoying how you've been writing Library-related stuff.

Yeah nah I feel that completely. I'm gonna be honest, writing that part was kinda awkward, because not only is it a semi monologue, but also I found it difficult to balance the entity's voice with the exposition I had to put in. I'll see what I can do to rework it so it'll flow better. Edits have been made…

As for whether I'll continue? I did actually have an idea of picking up the story from the pov of rounderpede, who must delve into the history of the Grand Archivists and the mystery beneath the Library. We'll see if I end up writing it tho lol.

Interesting! Very, very interesting. I wonder if you'll continue this? Could be fun. I must say I found the entity speaking at the end's dialogue to be kinda rough in places, sentences don't flow very well into each other, but it wasn't a huge issue so I'm still comfortable upvoting for everything else

This has been in the works for a while. I'm so happy I've finally finished it - I am never writing second person present again, it was such a pain. For the foreseeable future, only character-based stories folks.
