Totally understandable crit Rounder. Looking back on this, I can really tell that I rushed parts of the ending. Thanks for the crit though!

Interesting little bit of philosophical whiling. Doesn't outlast its welcome, sticks around just long enough to get the fundamental idea across then cuts off. At the same time… I do feel like the cutoff detracts from the piece more than it adds. Yes, the story sticks around long enough to toss the idea at me, but it's hardly a novel idea - which isn't a bad thing! Just that I think the story could've afforded to have more back-and-forth and analysis of the premise. It could've taken time to bake the cake, rather than handing me the raw ingredients. Given all that, gonna give this one a novote.

Aw, c'mon, just when we were getting to the good part, dammit…

For real tho, I really like the execution here. While a simple premise, the ending is really good; really adds flavor to the rest of the writing. I like that.
