The world building here is spiiiicy. Like habeneroes hidden in a salad. Absolutely scrumptious character work sets the table. Delicate balance of flavors. Like wind under your wings on a Romantic night.

Forgot to comment on this the first time I read through it, but I'll comment on it now. This probably remains one of my favourites of the works you have posted, and the site at large. The imagery is extremely visceral, almost mythic despite its small scope and point of view - and the dreamlike structure certainly adds to your tone. Rereading it now in light of your newest posting (Something like a Storm), you've put together quite the world here and I'm very excited to see whatever hub you eventually post.

What a beautiful piece. The worldbuilding here is honestly marvelous. The character is really good and, althought a bit bloaty description-wise, it was a really fun read. All about this world before stepping through the door; that made the MC step through it… God, yeah, what an immensely fun read. Really like your writing.

Now, for opinions. This is the best Library discovery story I have ever read. Most people trip up and make it about the Library. It's not bad, and I will likely still like it, but it's not the best they could do with the concept. This fulfills that desire I've had from those types of stories. I love the simple worldbuilding you do, and the mysterious air that persists through the piece is perfect. Great job!
