I wasn't planning to write another story set in Larkan, but I ended up doing so as I wasn't sure what else to write. At least, not sure what I can write and share here, which is what I've been wanting to do. I hope you enjoy it.
Feel free to write stories in the town if you'd like. I have some notes on the town on the discussion page within the link below,

+ or here if you're interested.

- or here if you're interested.

About Larkan:

So I'm picturing a rickety and old-fashioned fishing town vibe, but with modern and futuristic powerlines with various modern devices. There are some buildings flavoured with other alien cultures as well. Larkan is home to all sorts. Really, it's a combination of old and plainly new, but with seemingly no distinction between the two vibes. Like I imagine most people use pay phones, over any mobile communication device because they don't need them unless it suits their jobs. They do have a small spaceport and are something of a tourist town due to their proclivity for answers. Honestly though, feel free to be eclectic. They use 'standard credits of the local system,' or something like that, you can also pay in secrets and hidden lore or even exotic currency. People will accommodate you if your species has no concept of money. They're not bigoted, at least not openly, especially to money-making tourists.

I don't know much about the laws, (other than the typical don't steal, murder, sell a lie etc) But one I do know is to never sing whilst at sea or when standing too close to the waters.

Tone Wise: Honestly feel free to experiment, but I think going into something a little bit Weird is what Larkan is about. It's where the lines between groups feather into this one unit. I think some outdated words will suit as well. Instead of saying 'tv' say television and so forth.

This is a prequel to another short story I wrote also set in Larkan
