I'm racking my brain trying to figure out if there's a place on Earth where you could find deer, squirrels, and tigers at the same time. I know this probably isn't based on a real forest, but still.

You oversimplify. While squirrels superficially resemble farlscree, there are a number of important physiological differences. One might as well call you a rat, and be just as accurate.
