I am pro-in-character pages as well. Maybe make it an unofficial rule to try to keep it as concise as possible, giving one or two salient or interesting details about the author's "research." It would seem more like an author or scholar blurb you read on the back of books.

Also, Dexanote's idea about giving in-character author pages a test run sounds like a very good idea.

I also like the idea of in-character pages, mostly because I feel obligated to write something worthwhile if I'm going to take up the space.

I like the idea of in-character pages. However… my 'character', Peri, isn't involved at all in everything I've written. Nor will he be.

I always prefer in-character author pages, if only because it allows flexibility as an option. Not strictly necessary, of course, but pages as indexed by specific scholars seem like a good route to try first. If that doesn't work out, we edit and try something else. If in-character doesn't work out (that is, it ends up goofy, or just badly implemented), we can restrict it to what you have set there in an OOC list.

So, I created this page, as a quick author page so that I can show people which stories here are mine. Author pages are useful enough (particularly once you have a few entries to show off), but I'm not sure about implementation. Right now, the page is from an out-of-character perspective. The benefit here is to avoid the "wackiness" of the old school SCP Foundation, which could distract from the stories. On the other hand, in-character pages would have the benefit of helping to maintain the illusion of the Serpent's Hand. If we did go that route, we'd probably send it up as entries indexed by certain scholars.

The ultimate point is to have pages where you can point to and say, "This is my work," or where you can find other works by the same author if you particularly enjoyed a story. So, one way or another, it's going to get done. I'm just curious how you think we should proceed.
