As my first read in the wanderer's library, it wasnt so bad.I had a hard time understanding what this was really hinting at. Cabbage and a human mental duels lol. Loved this idea. A question for OP tho- why cabbage? not any other vegetables?

I like the world you built here a lot. It's simple, but very expansive at the same time and, I mean, it's about cabbages. Pretty much perfect.

+1

I believe the end bothered you because it seems like a human is competing with a cabbage for the throne—what happens, then, when a cabbage is already in place? Perhaps there is more to the system than mentioned here, like perhaps the Regent is temporarily king until a suitable cabbage is selected.

I wouldn't normally necropost, but I have the exact same feeling.

I prefer to think that in this realm, man and Cabbage evolved alongside one another, developing into a new, different creature, one which could know the cabbage. See the subtleties in the cabbages language, the posture, even seeing into the Cabbages very soul. It is a realm where all men are at peace with their veggies, and the veggies are wise to them in return. A realm which has long since passed…

Or yeah, telepathy works too.
