I really like Jack Manganese's style. Same vibes with Leavings Of Another World, playing with language, representations, meanings. This piece has that, but there's something so whimsical about the mundanity of it.

Thank you both. I wrote the initial draft of this in one go, and I didn't actually know it would be a sad story until I got halfway through.

Bonus trivia: The names of the worms were taken from internet lists of ugliest English words, "moist" and "nugget" appeared on every one, so they combined into the uber-worm. Similarly, the flower names and the butterfly name were from lists of most beautiful English words.
