the world peels away
in long thin strips
that whip away on
the winds that grow
in power that i
feel in my hair
that stands up on
the back of my
neck that is exposed
all of a sudden
to the warm sunlight
that gently winds through
the leaves and branches
of the trees that
loom like towers above
the pink and white
and blue flowers that
poke their heads above
the grasses that grow
tall and proud around
our toes that curl
and uncurl in rhythm
that at once thunders
like drums and lilts
like song as it
winds its way up
our bodies that seem
to melt together like
snow turning to water
and trickling into hard
earth as i look
into your eyes that
travel between my face
and lips that meet
with yours as the
sky folds back in
two pieces like the
curtains to a stage
to reveal a gigantic
figure with fiery wheels
filled with eyes all
around it that cries:
prophesy!
