Good stuff. The flowery prose is at the right balance of poeticism and actually getting the point across — a lot of WL articles with similar language lose themselves in the purple.

I'm always a fan of personified inanimate POVs. The cave has a surprising amount of characterization, considering it barely does anything throughout the story. Their sort of alien perspective is charming.

I don't think I've ever read something written from this kind of perspective, but I think it works beautifully here. The prose is rich and the story, while simple, is incredibly effective for its brevity.
Definite +1.
