I had way more fun writing this than I expected. Started out having no idea where it was going and ended up with something I might end up turning into a series.

Credit to A Random Day and Rounderhouse for critique, and ARD for the title

"imagine" and "to handfuls" are probably typos…But like aside from that I'm straight-up amazed. And I also like how there are some nudges to SCP-verse that actually make this piece a nice starter for newbies to the site that like to references SCP things directly too much. Using "telegraphed" like that was also appreciated, since I'd only heard the term in, well, telegraphs and music improv—makes sense to use it in a well-written, intense fight scene. Voice came out strong in this one as well. +1.

I swear Rounder had something with a concept similar to this in the works. Definitely different stories, but there's telepathy there.

This oozes with voice and character, and the controlled rambling gave me Bukowski/Thompson vibes, with a dash of Richard Connell, all in a good way. Gonzo Library is an aesthetic I can get behind.

Grammar and spelling mistakes aside (which I happily fixed for you) this is a great character piece, and it doesn't focus on any one element for too long! I personally would love to see the sequel! +1

Awesome characterization. The little SCP references were delightful, and the action is fluidly written. A+ Story.
