My first contest entry for the Scavenger Hunt! This is the first in a three part series that will span the contest. The story follows three agents of the clandestine group known as the Diamondbacks, who serve a mysterious entity known only as the Creator. They fulfill any objective given to them by the Library's highest officials, although they aren't without their share of troubles.

Thanks to Sebarus for the great crit! I promise I'll figure out the difference between 'its' and 'it's' someday.

Interesting start to the Diamondback's story! I enjoyed it enough to still upvote, but I feel like the part from them arriving to the city and them discovering the Bookburners moves too fast. I would encourage an edit to be made after the Hunt to extend the length in the middle, maybe by describing the city more to show why I should be as scared of it as the Diamondbacks are.
