Alrighty, been working on this thing for a decent bit, glad to finally post it. Man, it's been a minute since I posted, I even forgot the rating module at first! If coming off of this you are confused as to why it doesn't feel super poetic, that's because it isn't really supposed to. I encourage you to just find your own meaning in it, but I'll stick the story behind it in a collapsible at the end of this post.

I wrote this after stargazing one night. I was away from a lot of lights, so I had a fantastic view of the sky and the Milky Way. I had a bit of a feeling of existential dread/fear about humanity never expanding beyond our tiny planet in my life time. That is the message at the core of this piece. It is my anxiety that no one wants to keep moving forward, explore everything that is beyond us. They just want to stay constant, they are content to just sit in the dirt, rather than float in the stars.

carolynn ivy's author page, which you can find here. I did modify the module however, so the code will not look exactly the same if you look at my page source and the code provided on carolynn's page.
