Aw. Little guy.

Cute little bitter-sweet story. I think you can get rid of the bit where he starts shouting - it felt like an undue burst of action and aggression that disrupted the quiet flow of the story. The effect is the same even if he just says it harshly or tersely. But that's ultimately a pretty minor complaint in an otherwise perfectly readable story. I might just be a sucker for cute robots but I was pleasantly surprised you got me to feel for a 'droid I only knew for maybe 6 lines of dialogue.
