Ehhh, not a fan of this one, no. I think it's too short to really get anything emotional out of it. As soon as the idea of the Lich's parents appears, the whole deal with them being these Librarians following them gets resolved, and there was no real payoff to it. It just sort of happened. This might also be because in this short piece, you tried to introduce this octopus character which also didn't feel all that well explored, and everything just sort of ended up feeling muddled up and kinda pointless by the end.
I feel like 'Lich is confronted with the ghosts of their past' and 'Lich meets octopus jailor' should've been two separate stories, to allow for each to have its own emotional impact without bleeding into each other.
