Originally written for Gears Day 10 over on the sister site, a collection of short spooky stories for Gears' birthday. As usual, I completely misunderstood the assignment and overshot everyone else by like a thousand words and in completely the wrong genre, but I'm still happy with it and wanted to give it a standalone place too. Gears was also a very influential author here in the Library, and hopefully you guys get as much enjoyment from this jaunt as he hopefully will.

Had to check afterwards to see if this was actually real - the one thing that tipped me off is that it's practically impossible to flush oxygen from a room, most quarantine prevention measures use positive/negative pressure in relation to the outside world in case of a breach-
But this was written so well I completely ignored my better judgement on that one until after I finished

I don't normally enjoy articles like this, but the narrative you provided was smooth and coherent. The swappage between the two storylines was done with care and reverence, and I had no problems recalling what was said last when jumping back between sections. The prose was lean like a swimmer. And the plot was tasty, too, echoing on themes that have been concerning as of late in the modern world.

Last fee. Shark teeth. Taste Ee. Tasty.

I didn't know if I was going to like it because it started out seeming very out of universe but such a great story. +1
