Well, this is my Picturepalooza contest entry! When I got the image sent to me I had no clue what to do with it. I had an itch to write about Sarkics for quite a while so I went with it. Yeah, that definitely made a lot of sense. Yup. Nevertheless, I hope it still turned out as a nice short story.

Thanks to Maxyfran73 for choosing the image and for the crit provided afterward.

Short and no huge/sophistocated concepts that I felt like were pushed at the reader. The image set the feel I got from the text in a good way. Short and sweet. +1

A simple concept with a really good execution. I mean, let you know all my thoughts during crit, but still, I do like this. It feels like a strong prologue to a much grander story, so I do have to wonder if you'll ever continue with this story…

Either way, for now, a +1~

Wasn't really a fan of this — I felt that the writing left a lot to be desired. It might have been intentional, but the prose was kind of meandering and unclear as to what events were actually occurring. It ended up feeling confused, as did I, about what exactly was occurring to Vigo aboard the ship which in turn made it difficult to get invested in how the story would play out.
