Thank you to my critter Stygian Blue! He tells me that if I write a piece based off his Rela series, he'll think about letting me out of the cupboard, so look forward to it!
This is a parody of meltedbee's A Note To My Muse, which - as with a lot of other pieces from bee - inspired me to write in the first place. Her piece explores the beauty and mystique of wise graffiti. I knew I had to write a similar piece after finding this graffiti in a wharf at Circular Quay.1 And before you ask, no, the photo is not a mockup. It's the real thing.
I have since found other gems of knowledge in bathrooms across Sydney, so Blue and I considered writing a hub for these pieces. If you're interested in writing a bathroom-centric piece for this piece, don't be afraid to ping me on Reading Room as StrangerSwing#8741!
Pulling back, I tried to find the point of wasting precious time,
I sip and toast to normalcy, a fool's way into jealousy;
I mock and imitate goodbyes when I know that I can't deny,
That I'll be here forever-while.
