Right from the get-go, I don't know how you did it but I found a horrific mass of at-times-amorphous flesh cute. I don't know where Wormwood is headed in life, but I'm rootin' for 'em.
They are your children, not of flesh but of soul. Each of them carries a sliver of your mind, of your will. Each of them was once lost, but you found them. Now, they are home. They are reborn in your image.
This is a really disconcerting line, especially with the whole "was once lost" implying that this is a mindflayer-esq situation, but I didn't notice it at first because I was already seated in the mindset of "proud mother." Kudos for that.

Should be Theirs' as it is both plural and possessive. (Can also be Theirs's, both are technically right I just personally prefer s'.)

I'm fairly certain you don't need the comma since you're using a question mark (as the comma would usually go within the quotation marks.)

Give this line a space between it and the paragraph before it, and the comma goes inside the quotation marks.

I'd either change the wording of one of the sentences, or combine both under one "to see them grow." In this state, it's repetitive and doesn't sound very good.
Overall, I enjoyed the piece, but I think you can do more with it. I'm not demanding there be a deeper meaning, it'd be hypocritical of me to suggest that a piece needs a meaning given some of the things I'd written, but give it some more depth. Have us interact with one or two more children, show us what a good, healthy child is destined for. This not only lets us get further into the mother character, but it also emphasizes the state of the runt and the love of the mother to continue to nurture said runt regardless of their weakness.
