But the time flies, irretrievable.
Haunting. I love the small bits of continual imagery — the butterfly, the bear, the colours fading. The details are gorgeous — at first, I read it as many different places which all end up in the dream someday, but then I read it as a single person's experience with places where they sleep, plus other things: the rings, the medication, the dead butterfly atop the bottles. The bathroom hit the hardest, when my eyes stopped blurring and I could see it for what it was. Depressing. Common? Maybe. We all see ourselves as unique, but I believe this work applies to everyone at a certain point, if the details are fogged. This work tastes like honeycomb candle wax drizzled with mango extract.

What is life if not the contrast between what has been and what will become?
Love the imagery, and the way you use color.
The story definitely feels "common" to me. The images are so universal that I find it hard to believe it would be anything but common.
I'm not the best at art critique, so I don't have much more than vague praise. Easy +1
Just goes to prove you don't always need words to tell a story.
Personally love how the shift from the brighter, more hopeful colors emphasizes the weight of the downfall to the more tragic end of the story. Which, sadly, can be a common occurence in our world today.
Beautiful stuff, as always it's a pleasure to see you post Crossing!
I will be rating your work's aptitude on several factors using a scale of 1 to 7; with 1 being the lowest rating, and 7 being the highest.
Then, I will take the added scores from each area. If the total score is above 18, it will earn a +. If the total score is below 18, it will earn a -. If the score is exactly 18, it will earn a novote.
Score | Area | Comments: |
---|---|---|
7 | Imagery | I mean it's literally an image. |
5 | Theme | Spot on common: Maybe a tad bit abstract. |
6 | Flow | I can't see any problems. Wonderful. |
7 | Format | We need more of you. |
Total: 25 |
Fires rage just below the surface of the ice.
Love how evocative your piece is without really uttering a single word (Except at the end of course). The art style and the way you integrate it into this long format is amazing. Amazing piece.
+1~
Wow. Very grim, very evocative, very moody. The atmosphere here is insane, especially considering its told through mostly-disconnected stills, weaving together to just-more-than-hint at something. It really is impressive given the lack of words — stellar example of narrative through art.
BIG FAN of your artworks!
I love the way you tell stories just through art.
I'm an artist too, but a noob.
I would like to learn a few things from you. If you're willing to share some tips.
Anyways +1!
Wow wow wow. I’ll be honest, when I saw it was just pictures (until the end) I wasn’t sure I’d get it, but this knocks it outta the park. Really well told (also can’t wait for that deeper explanation you mentioned in your author post, I love hearing about those small things an author puts in that I don’t catch)
