what to put here…
Huh! Weird. I like the ocean (it is my obligation and my greatest joy in life aside from the pleasure of living on its own), and like the obscurity — it borders juuuust on the edge between too and not enough veiling. You draw a fine balance. Not quite enough meat for me to love it fully, but I appreciate it. It yummy. Neat little creature, and while the lists started to get tiresome, they were delectable indeed. I rate this Just the Spices!/5

What is life if not the contrast between what has been and what will become?
I will be rating your work's aptitude on several factors using a scale of 1 to 7; with 1 being the lowest rating, and 7 being the highest.
Then, I will take the added scores from each area. If the total score is above 18, it will earn a +. If the total score is below 18, it will earn a -. If the score is exactly 18, it will earn a novote.
Score | Area | Comments: |
---|---|---|
5 | Imagery | Decent stuff here. Not too much out of the box, which isn't bad. |
6 | Theme | Very rare! Very rare. Very rare? YeAh! Well done, I found it enjoyable. |
4 | Flow | Not too bad at all: the formatting can kinda disrupt the flow, and the prose can be janky. |
4 | Format | Can't say I loved it: readability is something important I think. I understand the thematic choice, though. |

Fills me with a profound sense of unease, despite barely understanding the piece. Happy eating.
Mystified +1.
not sure what to make of this piece. Only the inclusion of '"an orange jumpsuit" gave me the notion that this might be scp related. but without the context, this ultimately just leaves me confused.
Hm! This is an odd duck, for certain. A bit aimless, very meandering, but it clearly has something it's trying to build up towards — it's just difficult to tell what. I think the prose is a bit tiresome but the weird imagery therein makes it engaging enough to get to the end. Not quite sure how I feel about it yet; will have to return to this.
Ehhhhh, gotta be honest, the SCP references kinda killed it for me. The piece is trying to go for a certain mood, and this might just be me, but the obvious references I can't help but laugh at, that sort of 'oh come on' feel, you know? Might have to do with the clear importance given to these obvious references that just feel very kitsch-esque. Ignoring those, the piece is interesting, and there's cool imagery, but I feel like it's a tad unsubstantial as well. There could have been more to the piece… Maybe.
Overall… Ehhh… Yeah, sorry, not a fan. -1
