Meant to be somewhat vague; meant to be conversational. If it feels half-baked to you, I'll give it another run by the oven. It is based on personal experience, spiced up with the great magic that is fiction.
You're meant to be able to see yourself in the narrator, but for the thought experiment, imagine they differ from your view. Humanize the opposition, people.

This really doesn't work as a vague "can imagine the speaker as being in favor of any argument" thing to be honest, the writing and language used is way too saturated with shitty right-centrist rhetoric. I mean in what universe is a leftist going to call "Fascist" a political slur.

Given that, this reads way too much like the arguments of a bigot with a persecution complex reproduced uncritically for me to be comfortable giving it anything but a downvote.

You make a fair point, perhaps the literature is somewhat more skewed than I hoped it to be. Is there any way, in your mind, without completely pruning the piece, this could be remedied? Little changes, using more mixed rhetoric?
The story is meant to be as center as possible, so what minor things could be changed to move it so?

Quite nice. I loved the background and want to figure out how to get that in my own work. As someone with a political view that can be summarized in one sentence

There is no problem that cannot be solved with either the careful application of socialist regime, or the less careful application of high explosives

I was highly displeased by the work, especially the lack of praising the union in this political piece, earning a downvote from me.

Also theres a typo.

I assume you didn’t intend to have truth capitalized, less that be a reference to TruthSocial. If you are referring to TruthSocial, then that has to be the least socialist social media I can think of, earning a proper shunning.

Solidarity forever and I wish you good luck in your future writings, and would recommend that you make the protagonist sound like less of a close minded cunt.

I would urge you to vote on the actual content of the entry, rather than..? However, I respect your decision.
And no — I can confirm — it's not a typo. My intent there was to inject a shadow of objectivity into the piece, so as to dissuade the reader from thinking that the narrator didn't believe in anything; nihilism of thought (and thus, to a lesser extent, relativism) is one thing this work rejects.

Standing up for this one as someone who looks at American politics in incredulity. I love how the speaker makes an agreeable point that American politics is divided into "correct" and "irrational", while also preaching themselves as the final bastion of reason. A fascinating mix of objective reason and choking narcissism. +1.
