Started an early version of this in late May. Revamped it around 4 days ago, published today. It changed quite a bit.

I have some difficulties with understanding the text. The format is a bit unusual, but it might just be me not being a native speaker.

The idea is interesting but due to the aforementioned problem, I have difficulties connecting to the character. I get what he is but who exactly is that alchemist and why would they kill the king?

Apart from that, you manage to evoke some interesting tropes here, especially the protagonist being made from clay, as a test, rather than anything else.
