A good start with a few issues with contrivance- the presence of Kli on the shore after millennia seems a little convenient. Also, Ogden is remarkably… not insane after having been drowned for a rather long time. I'd have liked to have seen the effect of his imprisonment shown in his dialogue a bit more, even if he recovers from it quickly. Maybe explore the psychological effects on Ogden in later parts? However. The start of this is striking in imagery and spot-on in tone, serious without being overbearing. Love the title too. I wish I could do titles that well. I like this, and will be watching for more parts. Another world for the Library!
Also what kind of godlike entity can wear high heels on a beach? Is our protagonist safe? Lol
