Very good stuff. Very melancholy, very soft but emotive — it feels appropriate, for lack of a better word, to the subject matter. Honorific, sad but respectful, which I think is a good way to approach the idea of death. This is a short but deeply honest little peek into the depth of relationship we can have with the creatures around us, even if they're not human. Relationships can, in a very literal sense, transcend death; our memories of them stay alive long after. Prose is clean, neat, flows without becoming purple, and of course, filled with emotion. I've always enjoyed these multilingual works of yours, Din — this is no exception.
