I died for a bit, but finally, it’s here! This is the article I wrote for Dr Pixie Bubbles for this year’s Gift Exchange! Gotta say, had a lot of fun with this one, and I hope that joy translates well cuz it’s just a really odd but ultimately satisfying idea. So to my giftee, thanks for the concept, and I hope you enjoyed the gift as much as I enjoyed writing it~

It’s also part of Titanclash, which is currently my favorite canon and will be for the foreseeable future (Until the next SSS)

I really admire how absolutely fucked up your TitanClash pieces are, Maxy. Cause goddamn this story is fucked up! Everything's fucked up, but I must point out my appreciation for that stellar (fucked up) hook at the start. I originally thought that a kaiju was being made, and while technically true, finding out that it was a human child just upped it even more. I love the little css trick you threw in at the end, putting Pinocchio over Pinecone. It gives me this great revelation feeling with something very small. All and all, a very cool addition to the canon!

what a brilliant and seamless combination of fulfillment of a prompt and thematic resonance of titanclash lore. really fabulous, really heart-wrenching. +1

Such a dynamic, engaging, and tragic story. I love your references both to Pinocchio and The Little Prince—really reinforces the themes of Earth-children and other-children. My heart aches for pinecone for all the children who have felt they existed for their parents' purposes. Very well written.
