Written in one go on the bus down from one place to another. A love letter of a sort to anxiety and washing it away. A reminder to myself through working these thoughts onto paper about establishing boundaries and that boundaries are a kindness, for they make uncertainty into certainty. A lovely thing. A reminder of how to adore yourself. Also a love letter to a performance I saw by Emerald City Trapeze Arts Studio during one of their student cabaret shows that I was fortunate enough to see. Marvellous. The silks are a divine and horrendously difficult and drop-splendid gorgeous work.
Song whose lyrics were partially used in this work: Devil Like Me by Rainbow Kitten Surprise.

What is life if not the contrast between what has been and what will become?
