Thanks to Em for the light crit. I'm posting this fairly quickly after writing it, mainly because it carries a lot of problems that have been swimming around in my skull.
I am in near constant pain, as the piece states. Mostly, it is aches and pains related to stress. But, more often than not, it's stress-induced nerve pain and stiffness. I have learned my best to cope with this. I hope this story manages to explicate the pain we feel, not just in our personal lives, but in our lives in a capitalist hellscape.
I watch the yonder hills
See foodwrenches toil in dust
Let their cacophonous calls
Rend our bodies to rust
