i said all this in crit but for a piece to feel so intimate and simultaneously so massive is a testament to your skills as a poet. the entire thing is shot through with emotion and imagery so intense you feel like youre inhabiting it as you read it. it's an important piece, on a deeply personal level to you, which comes through, but also to the site as a whole.

I, also, said all this before, and I do apologize I can't be as poignant as Zip, but here goes.
This is, in my opinion, far and away the best piece you've published on site. I truly can't get enough of it. Forgive the metaphor, but it feels like an overlaid sine wave, what with the different patterns that reveal themselves the more time you spend with it.
Thank you for having the courage to post this. Pieces that give that kind of insight can be hard to post, but I'm glad you wrote and published this.

Same as the others. The imagery is immaculate; the descriptions are delightful. Tiny fireflies of meaning Morse through the stanza-cattails; the individual lines hold meaning and so too does the work as gestalt, the work in stanzas, the work in pieces, the work divided. Well done. The fluttering is that of a freed bird used to being caged — it is free, free, finding air beneath its wings and bopping along the ground until it is alive and flying and free.

Oh this is beautiful. Love this energy you create, there's a sort of inherent sober vibe to the life in a summary presented here that resonates strongly, despite the specific events here not quite doing so. I really like that. Also, I'm realizing you're really good at making me forget to breathe while I'm reading. I think that enhances the experience, but also, how dare you lmao

Anyhow, this is great. Easy +1
