Here it is, my Yule Tide gift for the illustrious Din-Bidor, a tale featuring his Green Moon. It was a lot of fun to work on, though knowing that I was competing with other stories from his canon was terrifying given how great they are. There are plenty of other stories featuring the Green Moon that aren't linked here, all well worth checking out! (Hint: The Book of Idolators)

Also, I did not write Faust pt.1, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe did. But it is in the public domain!

Can't believe I forgot this too, but thank you to destinysday for the crit!

I am so profoundly elated that you have written this. Never in my wildest dreams could I have guessed someone would take the monstrosity I've birthed from my dreams and give it futher shape and substance. Excellent work, and one of the best gifts I have received.

The time of posting is upon us!

It's a great piece filled with drugs and visceral violence, wrapped in complex emotions like the rope that tied Darrius' to the tree- everything your giftee could be looking for. You understood the assignment and certainly delivered. It was a pleasure to crit for you. +1

Jesus Christ. I really need to read more about the Green Moon. This was enrapturing. I just couldn't stop; both the shortest and the longest reading experience I've had in a while. Filled with brutal pain and real madness, moving from this realm of nightmares and the nightmare of envy, of effort gone to waste, of substance abuse, of pure unabashed malice.

This was a beautiful piece. +1~

Limelight is a supremely good pun for the title of this piece haha. Almost every time I read a piece involving the green moon, I always think to myself that it's going to be the same as the all the others. This is ridiculous because all the others have been different every time, but I guess I just can't shake the expectation. Of course, this piece smashed that expectation once again. I loved it. I loved being given such a long time with this character, we really delve in and see that she was already pretty awful. I think the standout of this piece for me was her treatment of the unnamed actors, reduced to props for her show - the carbon monoxide poisoning was much more horrifying to me than the big flaming scene at the end, it being very well-written notwithstanding.
