Its ery good. Th epacing is immaculate and you managed to tamp down your usual storytelling style into something a bit more amenable to the genre of post apocalyptic western scifi thing and it fits so well i am frankly jealous that I cant write this style. onc again you absolutely atomize my expectations for a piece and feed me somehing dripping andd wet and delightful, tasty morsels of fat and gristle on charred bone. Scrumptious. alt needed.

In my heart of hearts I knew that betrayal was coming, but I was still shocked to see it happen. These characters were so good it's a shame my boy Gohrus had to go :(. I found it really funny that when Thierrin thought to himself "They were both useful after all" up to that point he had been the least helpful. Both Gorhus' and Sextant's abilities really were the only reason he got that far, his knowledge on thaumaturges being cursory info at best, which is an awesome way to casually characterize him without blatantly stating he wasn't being that helpful. The scenes after his fall into the chute were deliciously strange, I loved them.

Another story reminding me how much I need to read Ironband!

A wonderful gift, I adore it. Zip, you have done it again for the second year in a row. You've captured the vibe of an Ironband piece so well and I love your augments. The action, the inner monologues, the attitude, oh how it all just clashed against one another until the end! Stellar.

And Vish now has to make an Ironband canon hub! >:) You fulfilled my secret, ulterior motive for asking for an Ironband piece for Yule Tide. Congratulations, double-agent Zip.

God this is so good. I love the world of Ironband, and this perfectly exemplifies why: The augmentations and overall machinic world everyone lives in, and this cruel disregard of morals that accompanies it. The characters were great, and their little mission, as well as the betrayal were perfect, and that cryptic end was such a cool yet fun change.

This piece really makes me wanna write for Ironband. Easy +1~
