despite not really being interested in the worldbuilding, i found this to be a lively, engaging read. the narrative voice is fun, and watching the narrator spin little stories about each creature is delightful.

I quite like the world building here, it's doing the important work of laying the groundwork for the canon while remaining interesting and compelling in its own right. Good stuff!

up front i want to say that i copied all four entries of your bestiary into my workspace while i was writing my sand tracks piece. i think there's so much here that's creative, that makes the ecology of the world feel extremely alive. you do a really excellent job balancing details and worldbuilding with voice and charm. the details you do select feel really intentional and give a strong sense of everything about this world feeling really alien and different — nothing in any of the four parts is just a reskin of something else i recognize, it's all interlocking unique parts. really great and my piece owes this series a debt, so thank you for making it. +1

I dig this. Though I'm not generally a fan of straightforwardly worldbuildy stuff, the style and tone does well for this. Personally, I would like to see the oddness of the language and narrator pushed even further. +1
