This was a dim dream, a languid tide of bureaucracy. A sorrow of hierarchy and a complacence of living. A furrow dug deep in the road most travelled. This did not prickle, did not glimmer, did not shine because of the item type it is — it is a description of What Is. Not a despair but an accepting into the mould one can fill by unresisting. Well done, Dinner. It was grey as a clouded-over concrete and asphalt city.

canek is such a good character. his desire to sell himself on a narrative he knows is false, to bury the humanity that prevents him from settling fully into his position, is palpable and permeates the entire piece. very well done.

I love Canek's focus on words and phrases and their meanings and the results they will give him. It is a trait that is seemingly constantly adding to the type of character he is. That non sequitur in the dream sequence back to the new guard was so good too. This piece felt exceptionally planned out. Officially waiting for the next part!
