I feel that the Library might have a stronger reaction to what is sort-of vandalism of books via Fred and other similar entities.

However, my main issue is that the article mainly focuses on the way in which the step-children are made, rather than the step-children themselves. While interesting, I think that this would benefit a bit from having the Library's alien-but-also-semi-relatable discussion of things focus more on step-children themselves. Whether that means lengthening the entire thing or just cutting and replacing some of the maelstrom stuff, I leave up to you.

7/10 good but could be better.
