I have an awful cold and was thinking about that time I wrote a JotW entry with a character Snap called explicitly evil. Now is the turn of one where the character is not evil per se but does what is in its nature. Image by the talented and unmatched Piesollo.

there's a really fun irony going on in this piece: this creature seems to be antithetical to life, inhabiting a ruin and eradicating memory with its feeding, but it is itself a form of life, something that moves and changes shape. it's sort of like a fungus thriving on the body of a dead thing. the emergence of new life out of the end of old life is something that we experience as a fixed constant, something we can be certain of in an ever-changing world — a mountain emerging out of the fog, if you will. very nice work.
