i feel that the metaphor and the directness of what the figures say clash with each other. if the piece is going to spell out its themes and emotional core so clearly and thoroughly, i'm left wondering what the point of the abstraction is.

I felt that having representations of my works would be a more palatable way to convey my mental issues and struggles, than simply laying them out plainly.
