As some of you are no doubt aware, our own lovely TroyL just announced a new contest for creating a canon centered around about a particular SCP object, GoI, cast of characters, whatever. I think that it would be great to have a team or two of WL writers competing, writing about either the Serpent's Hand or the Library itself, and am trying to organize a team along those lines. It would 1) be fun 2) give us exposure on the Foundation site, which is always good. If writing a WL/SH mini-canon with two or three other people sounds like something you'd be interested in doing, shoot me a PM.
I think this is an excellent idea.
Also, Gaffney's team has filled (four people, I believe Pixeltasim, Vivax & rumetzen). There is no Team Two. I would encourage you to try and form one.
Sadly, Mann & I are on non-WL already-full teams. If I hadn't, I'd sign on to one of these (or start one if necessary). Ah well >:[
Remember, guys, this is an alternate canon, so it doesn't have to match anything anyone else has done! (Though it can, certainly.)
After several fevered weeks of planning, writing, and trolling, here are the fruits of our labors. While on the face of it, the canon might not have much to do with the Wanderers' Library, it shouldn't be too hard for people familiar with the Library and the Archives to guess what our canon is about.
This was great fun/incredibly nerve-wracking, and I hope y'all enjoy reading it half as much as we enjoyed writing it/trolling with it!
Also, let's hear it for our beloved overlords thedeadlymoose and Dr. Mann, whose canons, "Competitive Eschatology" and "Broken Masquerade," started off slow but caught up later on to take fifth and sixth place, respectively!
Congrats to you guys. You did awesome. :D
