I saw something I shouldn't have
A ritual, a mass
Dancing around colorless fire.
Fanatics and heretics
Wearing the essences of animals
In emotionless ornaments.
Chanting while dying,
Dying while thriving,
Thriving while dreaming,
Dreaming while whispers sing
The flame's ode in uneven beat.
I realized the voices
Mimicked my heart
And dark branches pulled me to the blaze,
Who looked back in a million shapes.
I started floating between embers and ash
Engulfing and being engulfed
While the animals below tore each other
Until only their eyes were left
To observe me become
Light.
