Poem for a Hidden Sandcastle
rating: +3+x

I saw you.
Plastered in infinitides
Swept across gunmetal
Open. Waving.

I knew I could see the sky
In more ways than one.

You'd sweep me away
Clear and sightful and gay
Beach spray
In my nose.

I couldn't fight you,
Monolith of modality,
End spot of life,
Power of earth.

One night
I'll die in you
As thunder rages
And I lose myself to ages.

But for now.
While we're both calm
I'll touch your side
Sweet and gentle.

And build upon you
A sandcastle.
