Remember Me The Winter
rating: +4+x

Since winter came, everything has transformed.

My lovers, my companions - they've vanished from my sight. As if fresh snow had swallowed them whole overnight.

Yet how? Within mere hours…

Now snow retreats. Trees stretch newborn leaves.

Life surges everywhere. But my heart darkens, decaying. Summer's warmth can't thaw my frost. I want my lover back. Tears carve permanent tracks down my cheeks as I wander through spring's betrayal.

Now I drift through transformed landscapes.

I watch tree stumps stroll across thawing earth. See ships navigate clouded skies.

New wonders, strange visions - never witnessed before winter's theft. Now revealed.

Yet my heart keeps freezing, even when new affections bloom.

New territories. New faces.

Dawn finds me exchanging morning greetings, smiling through practiced rituals.

These empty customs.

Not new routines.

But ghostly echoes - through these strangers' eyes, I chase shadows of departed friends.

That final night - no farewells spoken. No parting words. Simply turned my back to the cold.

Now I tread through memory's attic dust.

Old companions materialize in clearer forms. I see them.

At last I understand: Winter killed me. What remains is merely my shell.

I return to my eternal winter.
