Sea
Sea saw
I saw the Sea when I was a boy

The rocking plank, a rocking Bow,
The shifting grass, the shifting mess
Of Her Waves in a green sunset

We stood tall on my Deck,
Sure-footed like the blade-footed birds
I saw perched on the Boat-shed

We climbed there as well
And Sailed it across the world,
Our T-shirts as Rigging

Mine was the Flag

And if I fell down, I'd pretend to
Drown, like a true Sailor
