Tale of the Hunter and the Unnamed beast
rating: +1+x

1A long time ago, when the world was young, there was no grand human race, simply different tribes. This was a time when the gods were still on their creative path without caring about humans. The time when the Dragon-whose-flesh-created-humanity was still imprisoned in the bronze cage of the-One-who-gave-thoughts-to-humanity. The time when the Dreamstory only contained a few simple human thoughts and ideas. And walking with these humans were the Great Divine Beasts.

These divine beasts are monsters as huge and powerful as gods: Typhon, Tiamat, Cipactli, and many more, but the greatest of them all is the Nameless Beast, a creature embodying every fear that has, does, and will ever exist. And that's why its shape is pure horror, like a huge worm, with human arms on each side of its body, a head composed of three combined human heads, and tentacles growing from these heads. But not only does it have a terrifying appearance, the beast also has immeasurable intelligence and cunning. Through these terrifying powers, it can easily find weaknesses or fears of the prey. And then, through the Dreamstory, it affects that creature, until it has played enough, and devours its prey.

2In a certain tribe, living in a certain land, there was a girl named Lilith. She was a talented hunter, and although in her village there are many men who are good hunters, they could not hope to compare to her. Of all the animals in the forest near the village, not a single one escaped her deadly arrows. However, deep in mind, she yearned to hunt down the Unknown Beast - the Divine Beast of fear. More accurately, she wanted to target her own fear.

One day, Lilith decided to go on a long hunt, heading deep into the jungle. The deeper she went, the more scarce animals became, and at one point, she couldn't even find a single mouse. After time spent hunting for food in vain, she was tired and forced to go to bed hungry in a cave she found.

3She was hungry. And so she dreamt of familiar foods. And then the cooked meat of many different animals appeared in her dream, where she happily devoured it.

She was tired. And so she dreamt of a place where she could rest comfortably. And then a warm cave appeared, with a fire and a bed covered with leaves next to it, which she happily lay down to rest upon.

4The Dreamstories are the collective unconsciousness of dreamers, a section of the greater collective unconsciousness. It is the realm of all humanities dreams, and all the thrilling stories woven into them. When the dreams inside the Dreamstory are controlled, so too is the truth of the world through them. Imposing illusions in one's dream world, bending the rules, and overwriting one's own stories on reality itself -that is the magical power of dreamstory. Humanitiy is a species of much potential, yet so unaware of this potential. And so they let their dreams take control as they sleep. But there was a woman who did not let her dreams take control. Her experiences in her dreams help her realize the magical power of Dreamstories, and so she learned how to manipulate them.

Dreamstories are a place of constant change. It changes according to what people think about it. And so many of the primitive people thought the Dreamstory was conscious, so s better to change according to the thoughts of humanity. And this could be true. Others still think that the Dreamstories consciousness was born. But no matter what the truth may be, the conscious part of the Dreamstory fell in love with a woman.

5But one day, The Dreamstory sensed something strange happening within itself, and not something caused by any native of the Dreamstory. No, the Dreamstory realized that it was caused by a woman.

The woman lay in a cave, asleep on a bed, and next to a small fire, surrounded by bones of animal meat that the woman dreamed up. The Dreamstory looked towards that woman and fell in love.

6Lilith, realizing that she could control reality through her dreams, began training her abilities in her deep sleep. The woman constantly honed her strength, day after day, getting better and better, reaching a strength comparable to that of the gods.

But she never forgot her original purpose. With the strength she gained from training, she decided to challenge the Nameless Beast.

7The Unnamed beast confronted the huntress Lilith. Both use their abilities to control Dream Stories and used that to attack their opponent. The war was tense and inconclusive, angering the great Beast. But it was soon tricked by Lilith into looking at an illusion she created, and at that moment, she cut off one of its arms, causing the Beast extreme pain. And so it ran, deep into the Dreamstory. And Lilith followed after.

The Dreamstory is still subject to the influence of time in the shallow part where it is adjacent to our physical world, but the deeper part of the Dreamstory is not like that. While the shallow part of the Dreamstory, that adjacent with the physical word. may be subject to times influence, the deep ends of it are not. That deeper place transcends time and space, containing all human ideas and thoughts throughout the past, present and future. Perhaps most importantly, it contains the ideas of gods, the Archetype.

8 The Unnamed beast, having run into these deep parts, decided to absorb these entities in the Dreamstory and use the power from them to defeat Lilith. but every time it transformed into a god or creature, Lilith turned into its mythological opponents: When the Beast turned into Raktakija, the woman turned into Kali and cut off the Beasts head. When it became the Demiurge with lies as its sharpest weapon, Lilith became the Sophia with the light of truth to destroy that lie.

Lilith hurled her spear into the Beast's neck, and seemingly finished it off. But it did not die, merely crumbled into countless different fragments, each of these fragments becoming different fears that still haunt humans. And Lilith knew it, deciding to hunt down every last fragment until the end of time. Her story became an Archetypal story of Courage, standing up against fear in all its aspects.

No longer under the influence of the Unnamed Beast, people gradually became braver and knew how to confront their fears. But one day the Unnamed beast shall return. One day it shall cause the same horrors that it once caused to humans. Divine Beasts such as it cannot die, merely be transformed into other things. Cipactli became the universe, Tiamat became the world, Typhon still roars its glory beneath the mountain Etna. And The Unnamed Beast will return one day.
